Stake weekly recap: Stake Ranked Episode 5 final, Brewers win the World Series and a huge derby weekend
It’s a big weekend at Stake coming right up! With Bayern vs Dortmund, the Milan derby, Boca vs River, Canelo back in the ring, and F1 starting up in Mexico, this week is jam packed with lots of action! Before all that though, there’s a trophy to be won in Barcelona today.
Stake Ranked Episode 5 comes down to today
After winning Episode 4 earlier this month, Astralis lost their opener to Fnatic on Tuesday and battled through the lower bracket for two days, but their run ended before the final.
Fnatic are the team to beat now. They’ve been the best side in Barcelona all week and are waiting in today’s grand final. It’s also the last Stake Ranked LAN before invites for the Singapore Major go out, so for a few of these teams, this week was about a lot more than the prize money.

What happened last week
The Brewers finally did it
It’s been a long wait for Milwaukee to get another shot at a World Series title, and on Wednesday night they got it. The Brewers beat the Rays 4-1 in Game 5 to take the series 4-1, and William Contreras was named MVP in the series.
Antonelli wins in Austin
Kimi Antonelli started on pole at the United States GP and was never really troubled, finishing well clear of Leclerc and Verstappen for his ninth win of the year. He is now aiming to finish ninth or better in Mexico this Sunday to secure his spot as the youngest world champion F1 has ever had!
The NBA season is underway
Opening week’s done and the regular season is in full swing. If you’re betting on the NBA, the Halftime Refund is worth knowing about. Back a team in the Winner market, and if they’re up 16 or more at half time but still lose, you get your full stake back. All the games are on the NBA page.

Canelo vs Mbilli
Canelo hasn’t fought since losing to Crawford last year, and his comeback isn’t an easy one. Christian Mbilli is the unbeaten WBC super middleweight champion and he’s made it very clear he doesn’t think Canelo can beat him. They meet Saturday in Riyadh. Bet on it on the Canelo vs Mbilli fight page.
Mexico City Grand Prix
This could be the one. If Antonelli finishes ninth or better at the Mexico City GP on Sunday, the title is his. We’ve also covered the rest of the grid in our F1 picks blog for you to analyze your favorites.
Paris Masters
The last Masters 1000 of the year wraps up this weekend at the Rolex Paris Masters, with a few players still fighting for spots at the ATP Finals.
